I had a home water birth in December 2009. It is a beautiful experience. I can't believe Nicola Roxon could even contemplate supporting or pushing through the legislation making this illegal. Is she really a woman? No true woman would ignore the rights of other women to choose where they birth their child and listen to the men on the board of the AMA who will NEVER experience birth. Who knows more about it, man or woman?
This is beautiful, I'm a student midwife and I cannot believe they are considering for a second that this beautiful, healthy experience should be illegal.

You're absolutely right. It should be a woman's choice to birth where she feels safe and comfortable, with help from someone of her choice.
