Thank You so much for this moving tribute. We see it happen to other schools, and you feel bad for the community, We see it happen all over the United States, and wonder how they can cope, Then it happens in your home town, and you are lost, the entire communty comes together as in a huge family, It's a terrible way to come together, but we did it!!! FORWARD, TOGETHER, FORWARD!!!! Go NIU!!
Thank you very much for creating this video. We would like to save an electronic file for the NIU archives. Could someone (Melissa?) please e-mail: kshelton@niu.edu if you would be willing to grant permission for the archives to keep it?
My prayers are with the family of NIU. Tragedy and devestating hurt have been sown at this senseless act of violence. We will continue to pray for the families who have suffered loss.
Moments like this define who we really are family. If the events on 2/14 remind us that we all walk through life with open wounds, today and for the rest of our journey, and if we choose to give of ourselves for the benefit of others along the way, then some good has come of this. Let how we conduct our lives be a living memorial.
Thank you, Melissa. With both my daughters students, one in the geology department and one having a class at cole hall, the realization that life is so fragile has been reinforced one more time.
Pete I hope I can paste this image, I'm not sure how, but I'll give it a try.
I cannot even begin to express the true saddness that is felt in my Heart and what the Families are going through. May the Spirit of GOD which surpasses all human understanding be with the Families and Friends of this tradegy. GOD BLESS all of you and keep the PEACE of GOD in your heart.

This was a day that we will never forget. My husband is an Alumni of NIU, and last year worked on the new sports center there. With our daughter in a community college here, it has really "hit home". The community continues to fly the American Flag at half mast, and the NIU Huskie flag can be scene everywhere. Many of us are wearing Huskie apparel in memory of those who lost their lives on this tragic day. God be with all of those that are grieving!
FORWARD-TOGETHER-FORWARD
