I am so very happy for you. What a beautiful birth experience, how empowering, and you worked so hard to get where you are! Can I say I'm proud of you, without knowing you? Thank you for your inspiration!
Are you allowed to share the names of your midwives, to maybe help other women with your history share the same victory?
I don't know where to start. I am sitting at my desk crying uncontrollably. I am overcome with the fullness of God because I prayed before I found this video. I told God that if it was his will for me to have vba3c, then send me somebody and I will trust him. The very next thing I watched was your video telling me trust the voice of God. When I heard the name of Jesus in the song I knew immediately that he was responding. This also happens to be day 3 of my church's corporate consecration week. I have asked my husband and 3 children to focus their prayers this week on our new family member and her safe arrival. I am 20 weeks pregnant with my fourth child and the fact that she is growing inside me is just a miracle in of itself. Thank you for sharing your testimony as it has just changed my life. The only thing now is to find someone in my city who will assist me with such a bold excursion in addition to the prayer team that I have been assembling. -Cleve, OH-
Hi Teresa.. That was really a successfull journey of faith!!! You're the first person I've known to have had experienced a successfull VBA3C with a Home Birth?!?!.. WOW can't really believe it!!! I was watching a home birth story last night the Health Discovery Channel and I thought, yeah, it was possible for them because they never had experienced c-sections in the past. But watching your video today, made me really realized that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE. I just had my 2 c-sections this past July and as usual, it was painful physically and emotionally (after going through battle of PostPartum Depression). I desired VBAC the whole time I was pregnant with the 2nd one but I ended up c/s because the baby was breech (I had placenta previa with the 1st one). I am so convinced already that "maybe" if I will get pregnant again the 3rd time someday, will have no more choice than to have a c-section "again" which makes me think not to get pregnant again. But a BIG Thanks for your testimony!!! And for the BIG Hope that everything should work out fine with a Beautiful Natural Birth "next time" around. Continue to be a blessing!!!
Hey teresa! You inspired me more than just in birth. I just finished my 1st sprint triathlon! I'm heading to another one May 9th and have many more upcoming events this season. Thank you for opening my eyes to more than just how to get a great birth experience. I am now experience LIFE! THANK YOU!
This is so inspiring! I am 39 weeks pregnant and getting ready for our 1st homebirth after 3 c-sections (our 1st little girl after 3 wonderful boys). THank you for this. The enemy can sometimes get into peoples minds and give them doubt and this is just what I needed. Thank you and God bless you.
May GOD bless you, your husband who was always your hope and your lovely children. I am 20 years. Not yet married but still this video of your's brought tears in my eyes.
Thank you for inspiring hope in others. I really appreciate your openness to share your story. It sounds like long labor may go hand in hand with VBAC births. I will begin to prepare myself now for that. I am at 32 weeks and struggling to find provider who will support me, flat out being told they will not take me as VBAC candidate. Thank you for the hope your story offers. Molly
Hi, I live in Northern CO and would like to find support for VBA2C in my town. This is proving very difficult. First C was emergency due to placental abruption, had to be. The second was I believe an unneccesary C due to lack of patience by med prof. and them not listening to me as to what my due date actually was. I would really like to attempt VBA2C but also have family bagage. We lost our first little girl, born with 3 chamber heart (Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome) and my husbands family had a first cousin with whom they are very close loose her baby on a VBAC attempt from a scar rupture. They are very sensitive about my wanting to VBAC so I am trying to find an opportunity to VBAC in hospital, but beginning to think that may be a bad idea, just do it at home? So much emotional stress on my hubby if I do that, and he is so not into being "hands on" for the birth. ?? Feeling very torn. Contacts in Northern CO (PVH hospital) for VBAC supporters? Molly m.oltrogge@comcast.net
I watch this video so many times! My last baby ended up being an emergency section after six natural births and was devastating. This gives me hope. Thanks for sharing! I would love to chat about your journey if you have time... mrsnagy@gmail.com
Your story is very inspiring. The video was just great! I do want to add a little caution though. My sister-in -law and niece almost died when her uterus ruptured after the Dr. talked her into a VBAC. They gave her and epidural at a 1 because she was in such pain. The pain was her tearing. My neice has CP because of lack of O2. I have had 3 c-sections myself...I would like to have had the chance to deliver naturally, but I am thankful all my children are here and healthy nonetheless. Best Wishes!!
I have signed your guestbook before my daughters birth, but you were a great encouragement to me! I just had my VBA2C a month ago and I am so glad there are people like you out there willing to share and encourage others. I hope to be that encouragement now too!
Hey teresa - I've been trying to figure out a way to get ahold of you and this seemed to be the only place to find you easily. I really wanted to chat with you about some stuff...email me when you can at pregodego2@yahoo.com Thanks!
I am tears in bed after watching this video. Mind you I am 10 weeks pregnant and extremely emotional! I loved your story and thank you so much for sharing! I made my husband watch the video and told him I need him to be like your husband during delivery. He's not very happy ;-)..... I had an emergency c-section because the cord was wrapped around my son's neck let's hope my dream of a VBAC can be fulfilled. Not only was your VBAC story so inspirational but your weight loss story was too! You have done wonders for my hope. Thank you!
This is a long overdue Thank You, but I guess it's better late then never...
I want to extend a thank you for your courage, strength, and willingness to share your incredible story with the world.
In July of this year, I attempted and was successful with a VAB2C. I watched and rewatched your video, had chiropractic care, and an amazing support team.
My beautfiul son Isaiah is named for the bible verse that kept me going during the pregnancy (all the cries after a door was shut) and through the delivery.
"Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary." Isaiah 40:31
Again Thank you for your strength and for this video, nothing short of incredible.
God Bless
Wow i love this video & your story....This is also my favorite casting crowns song...I had forgotten to include it in my "birth music" on my ipod ...I'm expecting my baby's arrival any day
WOW! That was the most inspiring story ever! My husbabnd and i are trying to get pregnant, and I decided that I want to do an at home birth. Your story had me in tears, and I don't think anything can change my mind! God bless you and your family!
Wow! This was so amazing and moving. I watched it this morning and am in tears with the emotion and power of your story. You are truly inspiring and your family are wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing your incredible experiences.
YOUR STORY IS BEAUTIFUL. IT IS A STORY THAT SHOWS IN MANY CASES THE DRS ARE WRONG, WOMAN ARE MEANT TO GO TROUGH LABOR NATURALLY. IVE HAD 2 CSS. ONE DUE TO BREECH PRESENTATION. THE OTHER I WAS 5 DAYS PAST DUE DATE HAD TRIED EVERY THING, ACUPUNTURE, WALKING,SEX, CASTER OIL, WHICH GAVE ME 8 HOURS OF CONTRACTIONS BUT STOPPED. MY DR DID NOT WANT TO WAIT HE KEPT URGING ME TO HAVE A CS I CRIED AND CRIED AS HE EXAMINED ME IN THE HOSPITAL SAYING ID ONLY DIALATED TO A ONE. I WANTED TO LEAVE BUT HE SAID DO IT FOR THE SAFETY OF THE BABY AND I DID. IT PLAYS OVER AND OVER AGAIN LIKE A NIGHT MARE, ALL IVE EVER WANTED WAS A NATURAL BIRTH BUT IT DOESNT SEEM THERE ARE ANY DRS OUT THERE WILLING TO WAIT IT OUT, AND IT HURTS DEEPLY. HOW DID YOU COME ACROSS PEOPLE WHO WERE WILLING TO WAIT IT OUT WITH YOU EVEN THOUGH YOU HAD 3 PRIOR CSS, ANY INFO WOULD HELP. THANKS FOR YOUR STORY.
This is the most awesome birth! You rock! I have three children all c/s babies. I have struggled with each one. This is my new motivation. I have now started to make healtier changes in preparation for another baby/birth. Could you give me ideas on how you found your health care team?
jenchatterton@yahoo.com
after having 2 crash sections - the second without even going into labour and almost loosing my daughter i was plagued with pnd and pts both times - the second time - horrific - ended up in hospital was awful - i ache for another child but couldnt face another attempt - after the fight i ahd before and the fear of failure - watching your video has had me in tears at the amazing strength that a woman and mother can have - although i may not have that strength myself i am so glad that you ahve and are able to inspire others into finding it too! god bless you and your family!
Teresa - I can't even tell you how many times I have watched this video in the past year and a half. I remember getting the news that you had had the homebirth. When women need inspiration for their VBAC - I send them here. With enough determination, faith, and will...one can move mountains.
You're a remarkable woman... I also had 3 cesareans and would LOVE to give birth naturally. If we're blessed with another child, I hope to have a homebirth. So often, I find myself directing negativity toward some women who couldn't care less about how they gave birth, or who would complain that their OBs wouldn't give them an elective section or induce early... and they end up having an easy, vaginal birth. It makes me so mad sometimes... but I hope so much that this next baby will be born into OUR arms, without wires and monitors and shots from the moment he enters this world. Your video was inspiring... thank you so much for making it. :)
That was amazing! Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I hope and pray that I am able to deliver this one vbac. Just 4 weels to go, and I'm excited, but still scared. But now, inspired. Thank you again.
I am viewer number 47176 and I have no doubt that you have changed the lives of 47176 people. I am planning my VBA2(unnecessary)C's, I am 21 weeks and I think I have just enough time left to build myself up and believe in my body, stories like yours are part of the foundation that I build my strength on. Praise the Lord - who would've thought the internet could do so much good but there are diamonds amongst the sand. Thankyou for sharing.
Teresa, thank you for sharing your story, you are a beautiful woman. And thank God for sending me there. Can you please tell me the title and artist of that inspirational track on the video? My address is kdandhm@aapt.net.au
Thank you so much for sharing your story with us. I watched this video during my 3rd pregnancy and after seeing it, I just knew that I was going to be able to have a successful VBA2C. My little girl was born on the 4th of July, which is also my mom's birthday! I share my birth story on my blog. You can read parts one and two here if interested:
I am so inspired! I am gunning for a VBA3C myself and I truely believe that I can do it this time. Your story is so like mine and I hope I have the same glorious ending.
God Bless you and your beautiful family and thank you so much for giving people like me that you have never met strength to follow what we believe in.
Praise God! I gave birth naturally after 2 c-sections on Feb 8th 2008. After 30 hrs of labour, listening to Amy Grant, I finally gave birth: no problems, no stitches. Everybody who listened to his heart beat said,"This is a very happy baby"! I was the first woman to ask for and be sucessfully supported since 2001. The hospital are now seeking to reassess their policies. Thank you for your inspiration. God continues to be glorified through my testimony. His name is Isaac. Clare. UK
Hey Rebecca, You can do it! I had a VBA2C on 9/11/06. This video was an inspiration then and now since I am pregnant again. My first VBA2C I had a doula which I will say was an amazing support. She helped me labor at home until I was about 6cm, then we went to the hospital. My waiting OB supported my decision for a VBA2C which is rare, yet he did'nt agree with my laboring at home. He got over it and I had a successful and beautiful hospital VBA2C. Now being through a vaginal birth and knowing how much better to be at home, I am planning a home waterbirth with my midwife. I am not nervous at all. With my last birth I faced so many challenges and fears that finally overcoming them and trusting God and my body He created to give birth has helped me prepare for this. You can do this! Believe in your body, it knows exactly what to do. Some helps =The VBAC companion book is great. A VBAC CD from earthmama angelbaby website that was great. A doula, and positive support. Pray4u
I am planning to have a vba2c and watching this video has really inspired me. I haven't run a triathlon and I'm not in great shape, but I still really think I CAN do this!
Teresa, thankyou for sharing your inspiring and beautiful story!! I am due in 8 weeks and would like to attempt a VBA3C. I feel confident that it can happen, I'm holding on to God in this and the verse from Psalm 37 has been in my mind so much lately so to see you include that at the end just brought me to tears! I am even more encouraged from your story - all of it - not just the birth...but all that you accomplished in regaining your health/fitness.
Can I also ask the title of the song and the artist - I'd never heard it before, but it's beautiful :) If you are able to please email me at this address: nkamba @ yahoo . com
You are an amazing woman. You are such an inspiration to other women contemplating a homebirth after a Casear. Thank you thank you for sharing your amazing and powerful birth story.
WOW!!!! I am currently pursuing a HBA2C, due in 3 weeks and your video has given me such inspiration. Psalms 37:4 has been my mauntra during this pregnancy. I couldn't stop crying the entire video as it seemed to mirror my life in so many ways. Thank you for sharing your life experience. Hope to be posting my own success in the next few weeks.
Hello Theresa, I cryed when I seen this.I had a c-section with my 1st and now pregnant again. I wanna have a normal delivery everyone keeps saying no It's to dangerous.HOwever I've been doing reasearch and I don't see why I couldn't. I have also developed major panic and anxiety attacks and have a fear of surgery and dieing. So just wondered if I could talk to ya a lil more.
MROOF2@carolina.rr.com thanks Melissa
PRAISE THE LORD! Thank you TERESA! I cried so hard when I watched this tonight and am so moved and UPLIFTED by your story! I am pregnant with #3 after vba2c, and was "dumped" by my own ob/gyns because I refused to sign up for an automatic c/s! Receiving much scrutiny from them and others regarding my decision, I have been in much prayer and heavy hearted over the matter. Thank you JESUS that he led me to watch your video. You are a strong and beautiful woman and your children are very lucky to have you for a mom! Blessings...Theresa N
Teresa, thank you so much for sharing this blessed event with us. We are often encouraged to think of all the women that have given birth before us, how it is a natural process that our bodies have the capability and strength to endure. When our confidence has been eroded by Caesareans and lack of belief, it can be a hard task to change our mindset and embark on a different journey. It may be a harder journey, it may be a journey that takes us via 'stops' that we never realised were on the way to our destination. Thank you for believing in you, for having faith in you and ultimately, helping us learn to have faith in ourselves as well.
(#3 expected and working towards a VBA2C)
What a awesome story. Teresa your journey brought me to tears. As a homebirth midwife in Australia I am so privledged to support women on their own journeys to birth their babies. Birth is such a sacred event.
Teresa, Your story is tremendously inspiring to me. I am going to sit my husband in front of the screen so he can get inspired also.
I actually registered in 'one true media' so that I can contact you. I am planning to have a vba3c also and would just looooove to talk with you. I'm still in search of a midwife and thought maybe you could share your info with me, if that's okay.
Yours success is a blessing to many, many families who can now see with their own eyes that vba3c CAN be done.
Hello Teresa! I wanted to tell you that I just received your DVD and it's very inspirational. I'm a childbirth educator, doula and soon-to-be midwife. I plan to use your video in my classes and also to show it to my clients who plan to VBAC. I hope your message will inspire them to take their nutrition and exercise seriously as they "train" for their VBAC!
I have had 2 c-sections for breech and am expecting my 3rd in 2 weeks. I was told last year that the only way I would conceive again was through IVF-first miracle! After a battle and lots of discussions I have the backing of consultants and am praying for a normal delivery. Your story has inspired me and I am believe that God has made a way where there seems to be no way! Baby is head down at present so a miracle has already happend. God bless.
theresa - how inspirational! I would love to talk with a little more about this birth, but not on a public forum. If you are comfortable doing so, I would love to hear from you thedeelahfamily@yahoo.com
I am planning a vbac and possibly even a homebirth. Watching yur video is so inspiring. Having faith and beleiving in your body makes all the difference. thank you for an amazing video.
I have watched this video several times in the past few months. I am not a VBAC mom but I find the faith and power in this montage just priceless. I cry tears of joy each time I watch it and as my own birth approaches within the next week or two, I can draw strength from encouraging stories shared such as these...and of course, the love and support of my own dh and my faith in Christ. Thank you so much for putting together this montage to share.
I want to thank you for sharing your story with all of us. You are truly an inspiration to all women... You didnt have to try again, you could of just given up like many others before you. Im sure that it was not easy to press on with all the doctors/family members/friends telling you that it wasnt in the cards for you.... The blessing is that they didnt have the last word, God always does, he whom through all things are possible!
What an amazing video!!!! I am currently pregnant with #3 and i'm planning a homebirth. This video has helped add confidence to my need to have a homebirth.
Your video made me cry with tears of joy and love.
Thank you for making such a beautiful, heart warming, wonderful video for all to see!
You are an amazing woman! God bless you and your family!
Dear Family and Amazingly strong and wise woman!
My name is Marina Lembo, I am professional homebirth midwife, something uncommon in my country. Little by little more women are choosing this option. I saw your video twice thhrough I client who sent me the link. I am assistin a woman with two previous C-sections, she is an obgyn and chose me to assist her at home.
I think, feel and believe that your story is great and empowering for many women in this current era of C-section epidemy. I would love to translate the texts free of charge so hispanic people con have access to your experience. marina@parirconparteras.com.ar
YOU ROCK! After watching your video 3 times, I bought it and I share it with my natural childbirth classes. No matter how many times I watch it, I sob.
I, personally, have had 2 unassisted home water births (2 out of 2) and currently planning another with baby #3 and I guess that overwhelming feeling of empowerment is something you can't tell someone about - you can only find the strength - like you did - to birth your baby the way your body was made to.
I can't tell you how proud of you I am...and so many other women who cry in my classes, when they watch your video.
i just discovered this video and cant believe your story!! i too have had 2 c- sections but dream of a home birth if im am ever blessed enough to have another baby. how did you find a midwife that would let you do that?!
I keep coming back to watch this over and over. My first child was born by coerced cesarean following a 3 day failed induction. My second was a HBAC. I had only a taste of your dissapointment and determination, but it's enough I believe to feel what you were feeling, especially there at the end... the overwhelming joy, awe, and gratefulness. It's written all over you and your husbands faces. I don't have pictures, but I can clearly remember the same look on mine. It was such a spiritual journey that very few people get the honor to experience... I learned so much about God and who He made me to be.
Thank you for sharing this, I hope it inspires many other women to be bold, have faith, and fully experience all that God as to offer through the birth of their children.
amazing! after 2 c/s with posterior girls....i was going to give up...too much trauma. too hard to understand.....maybe there is hope????????? i must get back to running and regain faith in myself after having lost it so much. i have faith in the Lord , thank you soo much for your story and all the help you have provided.
mildura , victoria . australia.
You have inspired me. I've had two boy's by c/s and had planned a normal birth each time.I had no idea that you could have a vaginal birth after haveing more than one c/s my husband and I have decided that we're going to try again in the future to have another baby and I am going to try my hardest to have a V-BA2C. THank you for your beautiful story I know that it will inspire so many others
Wow...that was absolutely wonderful! My first birth in 2005 was an induction that ended in a vacuum extraction. I had planned a wonderful birth that somehow didn't go as I planned. Our second daughter was born on April 1, 2007 and the experience was everything I had hoped for with our first daughter. No vacuum and I pushed her out in 15 min. with three pushes.
Teresa,
I am also a Theresa from WV. I love your story! I had a c-section in Beckley in 2000. Then I had my 1st water home birth in Fairmont in 2002 and my 2nd WBAC in 2006. There are some wonderful midwives here, but so much needs to be done to get women/society to TRUST BIRTH!! Intervention is risky--
SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL MIDWIFE!!!
As a childbirth instructor in CA, I am awestruck and completely inspired by your story. You AND your husband are incredible!!!! From now on whenever I'm having a hard time in my life, I will think of the both of you. God bless you always.
Holy Wow! Not only is this story tandem to mine (except my 3rd attempt at Vbac ended in another c/s), you chose my favorite song. The Lord has blessed you. I'm so proud of your husband. What a rock! Keep sharing this testimony.
Jamila,
I am in WV, USA. You say "that type of birth would never happen in my area" but the truth is, anywhere women are dedicated to a natural, gentle birth, it can and will happen. It may not be easy to find providers that truly believe in a woman's ability to give birth, but after all, it wasn't exactly easy for me. I had a really strong sense of peace though that it was the best thing for my baby and for myself, and I searched until I found the right providers. Feel free to email me if you want to talk anymore about finding the right providers momma2boyz@hotmail.com
oh my goodness ,im sitting here with tears in my eyes and goose bumps on my arms ,your story is truley amazing...that type of birth would never happen in my area ,they just dont do vbacs ia am so inspired right now .. coungrats on your beautiful happy baby.....just courious where you are located
Oh my gosh that was just beautiful! I am too am a Christian. That's so awesome that you completed a half triathalon! I am going to start getting in shape again too! Even more wonderful that you had such a beautiful home birth. I never knew that you could go 10 days post ROM and deliver a healthy baby! Everything I have ever read or heard says deliver within 24 hours. God is amazing!! You are an amazing family :o)
Congratulations and thank you for sharing such a beautiful montage. I too am a homebirth VBAC mom and I thank you for sharing your incredible journey with so many. You're an inspiration!
CONGRATULATIONS!! I wanted to thank you for making this video. My doula sent it to me when I was 2 weeks overdue with my son. It helped me to patient and trust the process. I had him on May 14th - at 42 wks 2 days pregnant. This video is awesome and inspired me to make my own video. If you want to see it, I think you just click on my name.
THANK YOU
Katie
Congratulations & good on you for giving it a go. I too VBA3C's aswell.I felt as exctatic as you did.God was on our side that day & every day. Our bodies are totally amazing things.God Bless you & your beautiful family.Regards From Melbourne Australia.xx

Ok that was great! The Lord is good! I LOVED THAT YOU PUT THE WORD VAGINA in the montgue!! As a mother of 3 and a woman with strong Faith in God...this was great and I love that song! Congrats and have fun with that beautiful family! You did it and you should be proud!
Kristin-Pround mom of you!
Wow, awesome. I V-Backed w/midwife after a similar C/S situ. 1st that struck me was your music -we're believers too - then your story. My husband is serving in Afghanistan and I discovered oneturemedia as a way to keep him in touch but stumbled on your montage as a result. I was so touched, God bless and yes, this is where our strength lies and ALL things are possible through HIM who works miracles, daily, in our midst. God Bless. Thanks for the tears of joy!
I have seen many birth videos online, being a self-proclaimed aspiring midwife and birthjunkie, and I have to say, this one is the best one I have seen BY FAR. The music, the lyrics going along with the sequence of pictures, is PERFECT. I too am a Christian homebirther; I've never had a C-section, fortunately all my children were born naturally without interventions as I hoped, but I love to hear about successful VBACs.
Hi, this is Teresa and I have been asked to post a comment on here, including my email address, so that women who are trying to get in touch with me may have an easier time doing so. You can reach me at momma2boyz@hotmail.com (obviously it is an old email address).
Thanks so much for all of the wonderful comments; I really appreciate all of them. But it definitely makes me sad that there are so many women who can relate to my story, who are in similar situations, where their births have left a scar not only on their bellies, but in their hearts as well. But women are strong and if we pull together and make our voices heard, things CAN change!! :)
You are truly an inspiration. Yes, God's grace did save you from "potentially life threatening complications", as he does so many times each day as he brings each new life into the world. Dangerous, foolish, and selfish? Not quite. If there were no risk takers in this world, imagine where we would be. God gave you the courage, knowledge, and competent caregivers to allow you to do something that defied conventional wisdom and helps to reclaim the birthing process for those whose first, second, or third births may have required medical intervention. You have shown that it can be done. Those naysayers out there, while well intentioned in a desire to avoid the risks, would do well to know that the human body is designed to do far more than we give it credit for. On a second note, you are also an inspiration to me in completing a triathalon and half ironman. Way to go!
What a beautiful and inspirational story. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I am a mother, a doula and a childbirth educator. I loved your choice of music - it's the perfect song to describe your journey to homebirth. I will be purchasing your story on DVD to use as my "birth" video in my Christian childbirth preparation classes. You made some every poignant comments in your story that as an educator - and as a Christian - I can use for discussion points in classes. Thanks again (I can finally watch it now and smile rather than crying!!!) Enjoy your family.
Wow. just wow. thanks for sharing your story. It's so powerful and inspirational.. I just can't stop crying, and smiling for you at the same time. I had a very traumatic c-section almost a year ago, and as my perfect daughters birthday approaches, i find I'm more devastated by my dream homebirth turned surgical nightmare. Your video has inspired me to call a birth therapist and start working through it all. Thank you.
This is an amazing video. I am going to share it with a client who is planning her VBA2Cs. I am sure that you will inspire lots of people! I would love to have a copy of this video to show clients. Please email me at jenninhawaii@yahoo.com and let me know if you are willing to sell me a copy. Enjoy your new little bundle of joy!!!!!
wow - this is so amazing and inspiring!
thank you so much for sharing your story. what an incredible journey and what incredible strength you have.
i have posted this on my blog - http://crunchydomesticgoddess.wordpress.com/ - in a section i have devoted to information about home births. i am sure it will inspire many.
i had a footling breech home birth myself. it was amazing and so empowering, as i can only imagine your birth was as well.
thanks again for sharing with all of us. :)
Wow......... I just had my homebirth VBAC on May 5th. After one Section, and one hospital transfer Vacume VBAC. What an amazing story, after 2 weeks or SROM. AWESOME!!! I am also a doula and will share your story with many. God Bless you and your family, you ROCK!!
God is good and faithful! Praise Him for making us women and putting so much power in our bodies! thank you so much for sharing your story and reclaiming birth!
Hi there! Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm planning a homebirth for my first baby in a few weeks. I just wanted to say that you are amazing! You did such a great job! I'm so glad you got what you always wanted. It's what so many women want, but don't think they can have. Take care.
Congratulations-- and THANK YOU For sharing your story. I am a Mom of one who had a c/s last July. I am hoping when I get pregnant again, I can have a VBAC. Your story is inspiring and has calmed some of my fears.
Thank you, Thank you for sharing your experience. My Doula sent me the link to your video. I just experiened (april 23rd) my 2nd CS after laboring to 9 cm and stalling out. My heart hurts once again and I felt I had no hope for a vaginal birth. You have given me new hope that I might still be able to experience this. Labor itself was so empowering. I can only imagine what it must feel like to give birth vaginally. Thank you again. You are amazing. And God is good!!!!!!! I love that song by the way.
Hi Teresa, I viewed your video for the first time today and was so overcome with emotion, I've watched it about 6 times already, and each time I cry and shout for joy. Thank you so much for sharing you amazing birth experience with all the world. I have had two c-sections myself. And last September, I had a VBAC. It was a hard long journey finding support. But everytime one door closed God opened another. I hired a midwife who helped me labor at home, for 36/12 hours!! I gave birth at a hospital with my OB who semi supported me in my journey. I had a succesfull VBAC and it was amazing. After seeing your journey you have inspired me to try a home birth next time. I to live in West Virginia who by the way has the second highest cesearan rate IN THE NATION !! It does'nt to be this way. If women would realize they do have a choice! If your'e out there hoping for a VBAC stand strong, don't give up, through Christ you can do it!!
just beautiful! and so inspiring. check out my vbac video if you want (we appearently have similar taste in music) g-d bless! http://www.onetruemedia.com/shared?p=20fc4c36623a1b6eb28217&skin_id=0&utm_source=otm&utm_medium=text_url

I loved watching the slideshow at the cabin and wanted to thank you for allowing us to all gather'round and watch it. (oh, and thanks for letting me sneak in a couple of kisses on his sweet baby head!)
On the doula site that I am on (alldoulas.com) someone found your video and shared the link.. I about died! What a small world!

You were awesome, i just wish this is allowed in my country,Thanks for your lovely encouraging story

Hey teresa! You inspired me more than just in birth. I just finished my 1st sprint triathlon! I'm heading to another one May 9th and have many more upcoming events this season. Thank you for opening my eyes to more than just how to get a great birth experience. I am now experience LIFE! THANK YOU!
marisa - Apr 4, 2009 8:59 PM
I've seen this video a dozen times, and I cry EVERY time I see you! You are SUCH an INSPIRATION!
Holly - Feb 20, 2009 9:13 PM
This is so inspiring! I am 39 weeks pregnant and getting ready for our 1st homebirth after 3 c-sections (our 1st little girl after 3 wonderful boys). THank you for this. The enemy can sometimes get into peoples minds and give them doubt and this is just what I needed. Thank you and God bless you.

May GOD bless you, your husband who was always your hope and your lovely children. I am 20 years. Not yet married but still this video of your's brought tears in my eyes.
Molly - Feb 6, 2009 12:30 AM
Thank you for inspiring hope in others. I really appreciate your openness to share your story. It sounds like long labor may go hand in hand with VBAC births. I will begin to prepare myself now for that. I am at 32 weeks and struggling to find provider who will support me, flat out being told they will not take me as VBAC candidate. Thank you for the hope your story offers. Molly
Molly - Feb 6, 2009 12:27 AM
I watch this video so many times! My last baby ended up being an emergency section after six natural births and was devastating. This gives me hope. Thanks for sharing! I would love to chat about your journey if you have time... mrsnagy@gmail.com
Michelle - Jan 8, 2009 7:31 PM
Your story is very inspiring. The video was just great! I do want to add a little caution though. My sister-in -law and niece almost died when her uterus ruptured after the Dr. talked her into a VBAC. They gave her and epidural at a 1 because she was in such pain. The pain was her tearing. My neice has CP because of lack of O2. I have had 3 c-sections myself...I would like to have had the chance to deliver naturally, but I am thankful all my children are here and healthy nonetheless. Best Wishes!!
Katie - Dec 29, 2008 3:51 PM
I have signed your guestbook before my daughters birth, but you were a great encouragement to me! I just had my VBA2C a month ago and I am so glad there are people like you out there willing to share and encourage others. I hope to be that encouragement now too!
valarie - Dec 17, 2008 10:06 PM
Hey teresa - I've been trying to figure out a way to get ahold of you and this seemed to be the only place to find you easily. I really wanted to chat with you about some stuff...email me when you can at pregodego2@yahoo.com Thanks!
Rosanna - Dec 13, 2008 5:31 PM
I am tears in bed after watching this video. Mind you I am 10 weeks pregnant and extremely emotional! I loved your story and thank you so much for sharing! I made my husband watch the video and told him I need him to be like your husband during delivery. He's not very happy ;-)..... I had an emergency c-section because the cord was wrapped around my son's neck let's hope my dream of a VBAC can be fulfilled. Not only was your VBAC story so inspirational but your weight loss story was too! You have done wonders for my hope. Thank you!
Denise - Dec 12, 2008 2:18 PM
I have also had 3 C-Sections, thanks to you I have hope that I can also "push a baby out of my vagina" one day!! beautiful!!
Katie - Dec 12, 2008 1:46 PM
God Bless
Liz - Dec 4, 2008 9:59 PM

Teresa - I can't even tell you how many times I have watched this video in the past year and a half. I remember getting the news that you had had the homebirth. When women need inspiration for their VBAC - I send them here. With enough determination, faith, and will...one can move mountains.
Love to you.

Pray4u

Each and every time I need to feel inspired- I watch this video. You rock. Thank you for sharing your journey in such a simple, passionate way.
I am a doula, and I can only begin to imagine the strength, love and powerful core your journey took.
I live in the the Netherlands where 30% of women give birth at home, but a HVBAC is not allowed....
So very glad you share.

Can I also ask the title of the song and the artist - I'd never heard it before, but it's beautiful :) If you are able to please email me at this address: nkamba @ yahoo . com
Blessings!

Teresa, Your story is tremendously inspiring to me. I am going to sit my husband in front of the screen so he can get inspired also.
I actually registered in 'one true media' so that I can contact you. I am planning to have a vba3c also and would just looooove to talk with you. I'm still in search of a midwife and thought maybe you could share your info with me, if that's okay.
Yours success is a blessing to many, many families who can now see with their own eyes that vba3c CAN be done.
You did it BEAUTIFULLY!!!!

God bless.

You go girl!

God is so good to have given you your homebirth!

Teresa,
I am also a Theresa from WV.

Even more wonderful that you had such a beautiful home birth. I never knew that you could go 10 days post ROM and deliver a healthy baby! Everything I have ever read or heard says deliver within 24 hours. God is amazing!! You are an amazing family :o)

I had him on May 14th - at 42 wks 2 days pregnant. This video is awesome and inspired me to make my own video. If you want to see it, I think you just click on my name.

Val Gold Lovely video
Chris - May 26, 2007 12:25 AM
I have seen many birth videos online, being a self-proclaimed aspiring midwife and birthjunkie, and I have to say, this one is the best one I have seen BY FAR. The music, the lyrics going along with the sequence of pictures, is PERFECT. I too am a Christian homebirther; I've never had a C-section, fortunately all my children were born naturally without interventions as I hoped, but I love to hear about successful VBACs.
Congratulations and your son is beautiful!
saskia - May 24, 2007 9:41 PM
Wow, love it, thank you so much for a wonderful video.
Teresa - May 20, 2007 12:54 PM
Hi, this is Teresa and I have been asked to post a comment on here, including my email address, so that women who are trying to get in touch with me may have an easier time doing so. You can reach me at momma2boyz@hotmail.com (obviously it is an old email address).
Thanks so much for all of the wonderful comments; I really appreciate all of them. But it definitely makes me sad that there are so many women who can relate to my story, who are in similar situations, where their births have left a scar not only on their bellies, but in their hearts as well. But women are strong and if we pull together and make our voices heard, things CAN change!! :)
Charis - May 19, 2007 9:56 PM
Way to go!
christy - May 19, 2007 7:25 PM
Teresa, that was such a beautiful montage. I had the same verse as my inspiration during my VBAC last November. Thank you for sharing!
Allison - May 19, 2007 8:04 AM
What a beautiful and inspirational story. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I am a mother, a doula and a childbirth educator. I loved your choice of music - it's the perfect song to describe your journey to homebirth. I will be purchasing your story on DVD to use as my "birth" video in my Christian childbirth preparation classes. You made some every poignant comments in your story that as an educator - and as a Christian - I can use for discussion points in classes. Thanks again (I can finally watch it now and smile rather than crying!!!) Enjoy your family.
korin - May 19, 2007 12:32 AM
Wow. just wow. thanks for sharing your story. Thank you.
kristin - May 18, 2007 8:52 PM

Congratulations-- and THANK YOU For sharing your story. I am a Mom of one who had a c/s last July. I am hoping when I get pregnant again, I can have a VBAC. Your story is inspiring and has calmed some of my fears.
Grace - May 16, 2007 1:14 PM
Thank you, Thank you for sharing your experience. My Doula sent me the link to your video. I just experiened (april 23rd) my 2nd CS after laboring to 9 cm and stalling out. My heart hurts once again and I felt I had no hope for a vaginal birth. You have given me new hope that I might still be able to experience this. Labor itself was so empowering. I can only imagine what it must feel like to give birth vaginally. Thank you again. You are amazing. And God is good!!!!!!! I love that song by the way.
Trebor - May 16, 2007 1:02 PM
