I have come across this story of Rhett on WORLD DOWN SYNDROME AWARENESS DAY.....I am so very deeply touched by the courage and strength he has shown ALL OF US, lessons in life that only those who suffer can teach- I BAWLED LIKE A BABY!!! It brought back the memories of my daughter, Margaret-Linn, or Peggy as we call her, who is now 6 years old and the absolute purest form of JOY! we could ever feel! She had OHS @ only 4 months @ Children's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. It just made me realize my biggest fears all over again-something going wrong @ the hands of someone else.....you just feel so helpless and out of control, and can only hope that nothing goes wrong-we were so very lucky, and continue to pray that she stays healthy and active. I will pray for all of you to continue to be strong for Rhett and each other! Have faith in knowing there are so many of us out here that want the best outcome there can be for this precious little guy! Proud to Be, Peggy's Mom, Ruth
That is wonderful video and he is a wonderful little man. We were cheering for the bears too but oh well its better to cheer for our little ones.

I also have a little boy with ds and I get all warm inside everytime I see a child with ds..They are really little angel and no one can smile like a child with ds...

Your son is gorgeous and such a fighter. The resilence our children has is still amazing to me. My son Morgan has DS as well, he is 5 now. I know I don't have to tell you how incredibly blessed you are. God Bless You

You have a very beautify boy and an angel on earth. My son Christopher has had 10 surgeries in 2 years starting at 3 days old. I know what you went through and my thoughts and prayers are with you. Chris has hydrocephalus and scoliosis but by the grace of God his curve went from 24 degrees to 17 degrees. They are in Gods hands and have very special angels watching over them.
