Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are the different ways I can share my Montage online?

We've made it easy to post an online link to your creation or embed a Montage directly into another site. When you've finished your Montage, select "Share Online" button to get information on your options and the codes you need for sharing. Here's a list of your options for sharing a Montage online:

"Get Codes" allows you to put the video player directly into your own web site or blog entry with either an embed code or url.

We also offer several easy posting options including: Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, MySpace and Blogger.

Select our Email share option to email a link to your Montage to friends, family and Yahoo! Groups or Google Groups.

"Share to your TiVo Channel" allows you to share your montage to your personal TiVo channel. Family and friends can then view your Montage on their TiVo-connected televisions.

"Share to Mobile" allows you to send your Montage to a mobile phone.

  • Can I embed a Montage in my own web site?

Yes! When you've finished creating your Montage, select "Share Online." This takes you to a page with sharing and posting choices for your project.

To embed your creation directly, click the "Get Codes" link, choose a video player and select "Apply Player Style." Now embed codes and a url will be available on the Share Online page. Just select and copy the code for your creation (control-C on your keyboard). Then sign in to the site you want to post to and edit your page entry. Paste (control-V on your keyboard) the code into the page. Note that you may need to make sure you are in an "Edit HTML" mode before pasting.

These codes will work with accounts on most community sites including: MySpace, Xanga, Blogger and many more.

  • When I copy and paste the code to share my Montage into my public page (for example: MySpace, Blogger), nothing happens. What do I do?

First, make sure that you've copied and pasted all of the code.

Second, make sure that HTML is enabled (it's sometimes known as "Advanced Text" or "Rich Text" mode). If it isn't, you will see only the code, not the Montage.

Third, clear your browser's cache of temporary internet files. This will force the browser to "download" a new version of the page.

If you still can't get your Montage to view properly, please contact us at customercare@onetruemedia.com for further assistance.

  • How do I share my Montage by email?

They can also buy a DVD copy of your Montage.

  • How do I share to a mobile phone?

Select this option, enter the destination mobile phone number(s) and click "Send." That's it! The recipient should receive a mobile message shortly with a link to view your Montage.

  • The changes I've made are not seen by everyone I've shared my Montage with. How do I fix that?

If you've posted your Montage online, such as to MySpace, or sent a share link via email, you just need to click "Update Shared Version" when previewing your video. Here's how you do that:

Begin at your My Montages page.
Click on the Montage you are trying to share.
Select the Share Online button and the select "Update Shared Version" button at the top of the page.

You will only see the option to "Update Shared Version" if you've made any changes to your project since you first shared it (via email or linked to your blog, or posted it to the Public Gallery, Facebook or other community pages). All shared versions will be updated when you click the "Update Shared Version" button.

If you've shared a Montage to TiVo, a mobile phone or posted it to YouTube, you will have to reshare the video to make sure the latest version is available to these viewers.

Your content and any projects will remain available online for sixty (60) days from the date you register. If you purchase a Monthly or Annual Premium Membership, your content is safely stored for the duration of your active membership. If you have a Basic (free) account, you must log in to your account once every ninety (90) days for it to remain active.
