You can make a Montage with as much or as little video as you'd like within your song limit. (The limit is three songs for Basic subscriptions and no limit for Premium subscriptions. You have a sixty minute time limit if you have video without a soundtrack.) Our Montage creation functionality lets you make duplicates of any video clip, so you can use two or more scenes from the same clip. You can also easily edit a clip's length with our easy-to-use editing tools.
How much music do I need for a Montage?
You can use parts of a song, one song, or several songs. We recommend one to three songs for your Montage. Premium subscribers may use as many songs as desired to fit into their montage, up to the sixty-minute time limit. Basic subscribers are limited to three songs. You may also use just the original audio from your video as the Montage soundtrack.
How long can I make my Montage?
The maximum length for a Montage is sixty (60) minutes. If you are setting your Montage to music, Basic
account holders have a three song limit and Premium account holders have an unlimited song limit (up to sixty minutes
in length). Many Montages are just a few minutes. The length depends on the material you have to use, your creative vision, and your audience.
What video editing tools are available on your site?
We've removed the hard parts of editing video! Our online tool allows you to quickly and easily preview and edit a video clip or photo in your account. For videos, you can specify the start and end points. With our editing tool, you can quickly find the part of a video or picture that you like best to use in your Montage. Preview this edited version or re-edit it in just a few clicks. If you're not happy with your edits, you can always adjust them since the original video or picture is not deleted. For photos, you can zoom, crop or rotate images using our intuitive user interface. You can even make duplicates of any picture or video and edit each part individually.
How do I rotate my video?
It's easy to correct video captured with the camera turned sideways! When you are editing a montage or viewing a collection with video shot sideways, find the clip you want to rotate (this can be done from the Collection view or the Edit and Sequence page of a montage). On the editing page, just below the clip there are options to rotate the video 90 degrees right or left. You can even preview the video and rotate it while you are watching it! Save your changes and the rotated video will show as rotated in your montage and on DVD.
Why does my Montage look fuzzy or blurry?
The online version of your Montage is optimized for online viewing. This allows the Montage to stream more quickly for faster page load times. The DVD of your Montage will retain the original quality of your photos and
video.
Why does my Montage skip or pause when I watch it online?
The most common cause for playback problems is your connection speed
to the Internet. We recommend a broadband connection (DSL or Cable
modem) for the best experience. On slower connections, the Montage may
not load as fast as it needs to play back without pausing.
Some older computers may also experience problems with video playback.
You may want to wait a few moments before clicking the "Play" button so that more of the
video file is available to play. Also, it's best not to reload the page
often since this will cause the playback process to start over again.
If you continue to have consistent problems with playback, please
contact us at customercare@onetruemedia.com with as many details as possible: Your Internet connection speed, computer operating system, Internet browser and browser version. If you can, include a link to the montage. The more details we have, the better we are able to help you.
