Once you've added any content, such as a photo, video clip, or even some of our stock content, you will be able to preview your creation and select your music by clicking on the "Choose Music" button when previewing your project. You can choose songs from our music library or upload your own music files.
What formats of music files can I upload into my One True Media account?
The following are our supported music file formats: MP3 (.mp3) or unprotected AAC (.m4a).
Can I upload music I purchased from Apple iTunes Plus or Amazon MP3?
Yes, you can upload songs you've purchased from iTunes Plus that are in .m4a format (DRM-free versions of selected songs) or any songs from Amazon.com MP3 Downloads. When adding these music files to your account, just navigate to the proper folder on your computer to find the files you've purchased (this may be in your iTunes Music Library folder or where you saved the downloaded file from Amazon.com). Please note, songs purchase from the standard iTunes Music Store contain Digital Rights Management (DRM) protection and cannot be used with One True Media.
My music isn't an MP3 or AAC file. How do I convert it?
You will need a program that can convert music files. Generally, if you have a program to manage music files on your computer you can use this same program to convert your files to the correct format.
My music is on a CD I bought. How do I upload it?
You will need an audio CD ripping program to copy the files from your CD, then convert them into MP3 or AAC files. Several programs, including Apple iTunes, allow you to "rip" or take music from a CD and convert it to an .mp3 or .m4a format. iTunes is available for free from Apple for both Windows and Mac computers. If you have any trouble doing this, you can search online for programs to help you.
Why can't I get my music file to upload?
First, check to make sure that you're uploading the music through the
music selection page and not through the regular upload page. The music selection page is available when creating or editing a montage. Also, check to make sure that the file format is MP3 (.mp3) or unprotected AAC (.m4a). If you bought the song directly from the regular iTunes Music Store or a similar online service, we cannot accept it as all songs purchased from the iTunes Music Store are protected by Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology. Songs purchased from iTunes Plus (without DRM), Amazon.com MP3 Downloads, or other MP3 sites can be used. If you have imported music from an audio CD into your iTunes music library, you should be able to upload it if it's in the MP3 or AAC formats. If none of these cases applies to you, please contact us at customercare@onetruemedia.com for further assistance.
Can I use my own music for my Montage?
Absolutely! While One True Media provides you with some great music for your creations, we recognize that you may have the perfect song for your production. Just upload an MP3 (.mp3) or unprotected AAC (.m4a) music file to your account when creating a Montage. Uploaded songs will be retained in your account and can be used for any future Montages you may create. Please see our Terms of Use for additional information about using music.
